How hotel tax is worked out

2000 UGX per room, per day

Every room that can take a guest is taxed, whether or not someone slept in it — the same way a market stall is taxed whether or not it made a sale that day. Tax starts accruing on the day you register.

If you build more rooms later, the new figure applies from that day forward. Nothing you have already been charged changes.
